Retirement Livery

Our professional team is ready to offer total care for your retired horse or pony so they can enjoy their retirement. You can be confident that we will organise everything that your horse needs without the need for you to be involved in their day-to-day care.

We have two retirement livery options at GB Equestrian Centre:

Grass Retirement Livery
We offer all year turnout in small herd on established grassland with natural shelter. This is a great environment for your horse who can enjoy a more natural lifestyle during retirement.

Our team will get to know your horse and manage all aspects of care including:

daily check
poo picking
appropriate rugging
feed and hay as needed
stabling during adverse weather
organising vet, farrier etc..
worm counts and worming as required

Cost is £84 per week, payable monthly in advance.
Farrier, vet, worming and other fees are charged separately.

Stabled Retirement Livery
We offer stabled retirement livery on our main yard. Your horse will enjoy a normal stabled routine and be turned out each day in our well fenced, flat paddocks. Our summer routine provides overnight turnout and our winter routine includes day time turnout.
Our professional team will manage all aspects of horse care including:

stable with straw bedding
daily turnout
mucking out
pasture maintenance
hay/haylage and basic hard feed
rugging
basic grooming and feet picked out
organising farrier, vet etc

Cost is £115.50 per week, payable monthly in advance.
Farrier, vet, worming and other fees are charged separately.
Retirement liveries do not have access to the arena and farm ride.
