Facilities
We have converted old farm buildings to provide a range of facilities that make GB Equestrian Centre a great choice for livery, clinics and holidays with your horse. We offer a safe and secure environment with key areas covered by CCTV and the reassurance of owners living on site. All liveries have access to shared facilities included as part of their package.
Turnout
We have 40 acres of turnout with permanent electric fencing. We are on light soil so there is minimal mud even in the depths of winter. Our grazing is carefully maintained and rotated so we can provide grazing suitable for all equine needs. All horses at GBEC have the opportunity of year-round turnout.

Hacking
The farm offers around 8 miles of private grass tracks which are available to our liveries and visiting horses. These tracks provide safe and peaceful off-road hacking as well as some opportunities for long canters.
Local forests and beaches provide more options for hacking just a short horse-box ride away. |
Stables
We have 24 loose boxes in the old farm cart lodges. Our stables are mostly built from high quality Monarch and Lodden components. The stables are gathered around a spacious concrete yard which is always mud-free - even in winter.
We ensure that your horse has a weatherproof environment with clear views of activity on the yard. |
Arena
We have a 20*40m well drained, floodlit arena with a carpet surface. There is a selection of poles and jumps which can be built into a small course or grid.
|
Parking and Hook-up
Our car park provides ample space for cars and horse boxes. We have eight hookup points which makes camping with us really easy.
|
Hay and Straw
We source much of our hay, haylage and straw locally including from our own farm. Because of this we are able to provide an assured, consistent supply of good quality forage.
|
All Weather Turnout
We have an 20*20m all weather turnout area with a carpet surface. This is particularly useful for horses that cannot tolerate grass.
|
Horse Solarium
Our pay-per-use horse solarium is really useful for making sure your horse is warm and for drying off a wet horse.
|
Clinics and Lessons
Ali Wakelin hosts lessons and a series of clinics at the yard. As well as sessions in the arena, Ali offers video feedback and theory sessions. For more information about Ali's coaching visit her web site or Facebook page.

Kitchen, Lounge, Classroom
The yard has a large recreation room which includes a kitchen, seating and a classroom area.
The kitchen offers a kettle, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Seating is provided so liveries can relax with a cup of coffee. In winter the log burner provides welcome warmth. |
Bathroom and Changing Area
The yard has two bathrooms with toilet, shower and plenty of space to get changed. This is useful to liveries who might be on the way to work and essential for people staying on the lorry park.
|
Visitor Rooms
The yard has a small number of bedrooms suitable for visiting owners. Combined with the kitchen and lounge this is a great facility that allows you to stay close to your horse.
